JUST DESTROYED THE WR HOLDER!
Jakob does it!!!
Props to Tefera for actually trying to push the pace. I thought he would be content to sit and kick but he was vulnerable trying to run from the front.
3:36? meh. exciting race but not fast compared to Birmingham
Brigtsen the fresher athlete
Tefera truly is a disappointing racer. It's indoors with no wind and he can't close in faster than 28 to hold off Jakob? Manangoi and Cheruiyot are going to wipe the floor with him in a real race regardless of whether he can set records.

+1
yeah props to Tefera for following the pacers close
really liked the move by Jakob to go around his brother and others when it was clear they wouldn't keep up
def a great race for a random wednesday
This Jakob kids looks pretty good. He'll have a nice career for himself. You heard it here first
Parsons listed in results as "USA" ?

your life must suck if you compare everythings excitement level to a world record
Very weird race. Tefera looked like he gave up at the end.
Damn, they both looked like they were just chilling on the home stretch.
Exciting race, lived up to the hype.
Jakob 3:36.02 NR, WJR
Parsons 3:41.97 PB

He did set a WR only four days ago, must be pretty tiring...

Agree. The right decision at the right moment.
Soo if Tefera is on EPO... and Jakob easily passes him for the win... what does that mean??
Anyway great run by Jakob.
Really shows just how much easier following a pacemaker for 1450m is as compared to a real race like this was.
Tefera would have used something like 5% less energy following Kejelcha around.

it's not a world junior record if its 5 seconds slower than what a 19 year old ran last weekend
The biggest surprise for me was Filip looking in poor form.
Mo Farah is a high jumper, too?
Guess his love for the Vaterland isn't reciprocal...
