It's not a surprise that Powerlifting would have the most direct and sanest system. They are on the "front lines" much more than running, as with a high-prestige sport you are more likely to get people aiming to game the system. They also aren't so affected by PC madness that overlays IAAF, USATF etc, and so can act in the members best interests, rather than virtue signalling to SJWs for all to see.

Blah, blah. Why don't they cite the Peer-Reviewed Science Literature for their Opinions, rather than hate on the trans community?

They themselves even admit it's only a potential advantage (in strength sports).

It’s not hating on the trans community. It’s loving on the female community.

Why can't people be for all women, instead of just the ones (cis) they deem to be "correct" in their eyes? This is 2019, people, not the 1950s nuclear WASP hour!

Why can't people respect schizophrenics and aneroxics? If anything, the somewhat ballistic aspects in weightlifting are more "power" oriented than the controlled ones in powerlifting.

OP, your headline is misleading.

It should read: USA Powerlifting stops transgender woman from competing in the female category in Minnesota. There is no 'transgender female' category.

That being said, I agree. Transwomen, as much as I support their rights, should not be allowed to compete with cis biological women. They have an unfair advantage. If extensive, long-term hormone testing were highly regulated, then perhaps we could begin allowing it but that isn't the case right now.

The long and triple jump are run on a rubber runway into sand. High jump and pole vault are contested on a rubber runup onto Mars. Shotput is off of a concrete disc onto gravel or dirt. The only "field" event that ever is on the field is discus. But "track and field and other" isnt a great name, so it's just "track and field."
