Laurynne Chetelat. She ran 9:48 at CIF finals in 2008 dueling Jordan Hasay (ever heard of her?) all the way to the finish.
She went to Stanford and then transferred to Cal and never ran again.

Michael Cybulski jumps to mind. 8:53 guy goes to UCLA and then...nothing.
Chetelat was a strange situation. She ran GREAT at Stanford her freshman year, running 15:43 for 5000 in track and #1 girl on XC team, then for some reason transferred to Cal. There were rumors it was for a boyfriend. She never ran at a high level at Cal, though it's not true that she never ran again. She did run at Cal, just a lot more slowly. I imagine the many Stanford haters on here will blame Stanford for her story anyway.

Spoiler alert: Katelyn Tuohy.

Hasn't Stillwater had several runners that became sub - 4 min. milers after they graduated?
I can think of several from my home state of NC:
Ryen Frazier...ran well last two years in high school, won some high school titles, ran great first year at NC State...and has slowly fizzled out
Nevada Mareno...ran great in high school, went to Stanford and didn't do anything, transferred to NC State...and is running slower
Ricky Brookshire...ran like 4:08/9:07/14:50's...went to college and never got much better...
Alisha Little...ran like sub 5 in mile, sub 10:50, high 17's in high school...never got better...although she did get into cycling and dualathons out of college and kicked a** for a few years as a semi-pro...
Just about any high school athlete who went to AppState only saw moderate, if any, improvement...something in the snows in Boone I guess?
Some Colorado prep stars that washed out in college:
Evan Appel (Stanford)
Ryan Deak (CU)
FL champ Katelyn Kaltenbach (UNC)
Will Brie Oakley be the next to follow?

Yes. BenBlankenship for sure and I think Luke or Jake Watson as well.
A couple of Canadians. Mike Woods, Matt Leeder, Greg Anderson.

Woods...wasn’t he the kid who ran sub 8 3k in HS?
Alan Scharsu, ran well in XC, but that s where it ends
Scharsu ran a 13:25 5000.
Any of the better runners from Great Oak. None of them have done anything in college that comes close to their high school performance levels. Complete and total burnout.

Nope. Already one cross country All-American honor and Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. She only started running as a junior in high school so she has a lot of improvement on the horizon.
For NH: probably Francis Hernandez . got 3rd at milerose mile, ran 4:07 1600m i think, 1:52, low 15's, won everything. Then 3-4 years into college, still running 4:17 mile's...and 3-4 years later a 1:55.
