I honestly couldn't be bothered to look it up. Maybe once she moves out of NOP I will respect her enough to put in the effort.

With that Centro juice anything is possible. But seriously. Does this rule out any PEDs for Centro? BTC is the clean group right?

Powell's learned from the master of fake hype (Lanana) and attached his name as they start recruiting for their new program at UW.
When Centro was named the assistant, I was shocked so many people thought it was a big deal. I was like this is almost certainly something to put on his resume in case he wants to get in coaching , something that gets him free and unlimited access to a great workout facility and something that helps his old college coach.
As for Lanana, I was told when I was coaching that he used to create fake spontaneous run-ins with university higher ups on. Like he'd be walking across the campus with a recruit and bump into the AD or President - some big shot - and the big shot would say, "Oh Vin, is this **star names recruit ** - the big recruit you were talking to me about?"
Can anyone confirm a story like this?

A true track and field fan.
Yeah, I'm big fan of track and field, but not of athletes consciously choosing to be associated with shady characters / systems.

Uh-huh. So big that "you couldn't be bothered" to learn the proper spelling of arguably the top female American marathoner, or heaven forbid, know it already. You go, girl!

If you can't understand that someone don't care about athletes that consciously choose to be associated with a group that has been under suspicion for years then I suppose there is not much point in having a discussion with you.

If someone condescendingly says "old news" one more time I'm going to flip out. We are the most niche professional sport there is. Stop condescending people that don't stalk these runners' instagrams to figure out what's happening in our sport. I didn't see press releases about this so this is news to most fans.

I hope it is true! That is awesome and very smart of him to do... I like to think If I was a college coach, I would try similar tactics to land the big talent.
It's crazy to think this was all started by the Seattle Supersonics losing to the Portland Trail Blazers in the '91 NBA playoffs. Apparently Centro's dad had about $10k riding on the Supersonics in the series so when they lost he obviously freaked out. Centro has had a growing hatred for Portland ever since as he equates the city with anger and lost money. He originally thought moving to Seattle would bring back that Supersonics vibe but he quickly realized it did not - so he moved to Portland to "piss all over the city". I guess we'll see if it ends up working out.

Vin does stuff like this in his sleep. He sees opportunities the rest of us don't, and is shameless about exploiting them. Truly shameless.
Just ask his minions.

What exactly has the NOP ever been convicted of and sanctioned regarding?
My reaction is that the pressure's on BTC. Anything less than an Oly / WC Gold could be looked upon as a failure.

Dude, where did I say they were convicted or sanctioned? Please quote me that part. That being said, stop playing dumb. There is too much smoke not to be fire. There are reports of vials in cut-out books, testosterone cream testing etc. Pull your head out of your arse, or if you're a NOP shill go pester someone else I've got bigger cr@p to worry about than you and your pathetic little misdirection campaigns.
Massive downgrade for Centro. If Jerry can't deliver a Gold Medal like Salazar did, it'll be nothing but a failure and waste of time/resources.

Did Salazar produce that or did Centro get a one in a million chance on the inside and capitalize on it? The race may not open up for him like that next time around. Its situational.
Obviously Salazar help put him in position to capitalize on the opportunity, but Centro not winning the 2020 gold absolutely will not fall on Jerry's shoulders assuming Centro is in the race and ready to go.
Bummer. At least he had a good career

No. That's an old photo that is from February of 2018 that was just whoever was around that day. And someone accurately posted it to laugh at the guy who said that Marc Scott isn't in BTC when he has been for a year now.

Haha, the NOP jock riders are out in full force trying to downplay this.
1. Centro has not been in gold medal form the last two years under Al Sal. 2017 he was DFL in his prelim at the world champs and 2018 he was just 7th at Monaco (the premier 1500m of 2018).
2. Centro is past his prime. He’ll be 30 during the Tokyo Olympics. You know when the last time was that a guy that old won the OG 1500m? 1920.
Can you imagine Salazar’s outrage when he stops and thinks about the inevitable mtg between Jerry/Centrowitz that starts with Jerry grilling Centrowitz on training program, “supplements”, etc?

What about athletes that subconsciously choose to be associated with certain groups?
Also isn't the NOP investigation a giant nothing burger at this point?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
