So I tried the Vaporfly and it felt amazing but I don't think it's going to provide the level of stability I need towards the end of a marathon. The Zoom Fly flyknit is a bit more firm but a little too heavy. In the past I've used Asics DS trainer which aren't the lightest but the support is great. I've used version 18 and I'm not keen on the recent updates and I'm hoping to find something a bit lighter.

I have used the Saucony Fastwitch 8 and I find those probably work for eveything from a 5k to a half marathon for most people. They have more cushion and support than the Saucony Type A.

I love the Nike Lunar Tempo, in fact, I just trained and raced in a few different pairs for my last marathon. They are the perfect blend of lightweight stability and cushiness - you may like them if you can find 'em. Unfortunately, there's a rumor going around that they've been discontinued, not sure if that's true or not.
I ran a few marathons in the DS Trainer as well. Love the support, but my feet would always go numb around mile 21 or so because they have such a hard bottom. (TWSS?)

Adidas adizero tempo. Great light weight stability shoe.
Managed to try the following so far:
Fastwich 8 - Great fit and very lightweight but found the cushioning on the forefoot not responsive enough, especially in comparison to adidas boost or nike zoom.
DS Trainer 23 - much lighter than version 18 which I'm currently using and with the same stability, but still a little heavy and cushioning the same.
Adizero Boston - a little narrow, nice cushioning but not sure if these will be stable enough for a heavy pronator like me
Adizero Adios - too minimal for me
Brooks Asteria - too narrow for me

how are you running those times off 70 per week. Im 19 and could easily throw down a sub 3 off 40 mpw much less 70 or 80. but you don't need stability during a race. Pick the fastest shoe even if it means trashing your legs and run your best time. Theres no real flat with any stability they are all neutral shoes and your gonna pronate no matter what. Theres a reason for the two week recovery period after a full Mary and theres also a reason that almost every elite is in a pair of

Yea, the Fastwitch 8 does start to feel a little dead for the longer races.
I would try the Adidas Tempo. I have run in those and in the Boston, and I think the Tempo does have just the right amount of cushioning and stability if the Boston does not feel like it is enough.
