oh they are really Takumi, I have a pair that is a similar colorway but they are definitely not made anymore and old stock is either long gone or highly marked up in the greymarket

She does not need a secret stash. She is sponsored by adidas, and she is their best/top runner, so I'm sure they make them for her upon request, or continue to make them just for her.
all I know is that I really f•••••• love those shoes! Bought two of the bright pink since they were on sale for $75, immediately loved them. Every time I'm back in Japan i look for them but they're rarely cheap. Such a shame!
The takumi series! Yes that awesome Japanese last, Wider in forefoot and tailored in heel/arch.

Heard a rumor from an Adidas rep that the Adios is being discontinued as well.
Gotta assume they're coming out with some sort of a replacement or combination of the Adios/Sub 2.

They may be discontinued (are they?) but there seems to be a ready stock of ren and sen on Rakuten global. It's not really that expensive to buy from Japan on that site...prices are usually/often less than in the US and then add aprrox. $30 for shipping to the US. I buy from Rakuten all the time.

No. It does not fit adidas market strategy . the Boston and adios will soon be dropped . Get use to the different versions of "ultra boost" to be labeled as a performance running shoe.

Wrong. They just released the Adios Boost 4, and they have to have a race shoe for their top adidas distance runners. Mary Keitany, Wilson Kipsang, Adola, Gladys Cherono, All the top half marathon women wear adidas,
