When I posted I was clear not to call him a racist because #1 I don't believe that and #2 it just makes people defensive. With that being said, white folks often have blind spots and their implicit biases come through. That's true even for the twins who live there and the one of them that married someone from there.
It's not a good look to be non white and put a blanket claim on an entire non majority white country like that, especially when you are a guest of that country. It was weird to see Zane interact with fans who disagreed with him. He doubled down on his language. Sure, there are some age cheats but it isn't everyone. He has no way to prove Kipchoge's age and neither do we. I'm going to choose to take it at face value unless there's a legitimate reason to think otherwise. It just feels like a white dude sounding off/complaining about something that nobody asked him to weigh in on.
