I find it biologically and statistically improbable that all of these people, born at around the same time, were actually “born in the wrong body.” I find it strange that they think they need hormones and surgery that will sterilize them permanently. What seems obvious to me is that they are uncomfortable with their bodies, suffer from other issues like anxiety and depression, and see the attention and attractiveness of transition as a way out.
Just on a basic probabilistic view, if you believe the "binary" splitting of female/male (i.e. nonfemale) as sports demands, then there's clearly an obvious 50% chance than ANYONE will be either trans or not (cis).
To spell it out,
25% chance male born as female (trans)
25% chance male born as male (cis)
25% chance female born as male (trans)
25% chance female born as female (cis)
Of course, with a wider (brighter) gender spectrum the case analogies are not so enumerable.
So with 50% of the population latently as trans, WHY is it so surprising that "suddenly" a good number of them realize it??
