I've lived in San Francisco for 22 years, ask me most anything

I started the thread just before I hit the sack(not a San Fran pun). It was a troll effort. How often have you read that forthright admission? I have actually lived in the Midwest, the Mid-Atlantic region and Boston but not in SF. I started the thread after reading an article online about a childhood friend who had been corrupted by under-grad and law school in the Bay area.

The pooper scooper articles have been everywhere for a couple weeks and kept SF in the news.

Ask me anything about the other places mentioned.

Unlike the OP I do actually live in San Francisco. Articles about how terrible life in California in general and San Francisco in particular are pretty amusing. It's true we have our share of intractable problems, most of which aren't exclusive to the Golden State (driven through the Midwest lately?), but there's a reason this is one of the most expensive places to live on the planet, and it isn't because we're "broke" or the state is "falling apart," and net-net people aren't "fleeing" (population increased by 309K in 2017).

You’re against sanctuary cities, fine. All it means is that local law enforcement isn’t going to take on the responsibility of the feds to enforce immigration law. I don’t really care much about it one way or the other, since I fail to see how whether or not such policies are enforced locally or federally impacts me or my quality of life in any way, let alone how that has “ruined” San Francisco. Please explain.

Op, here. Ask me anything about what I've honestly revealed. I can provide as freebies that I've never had to actually clean a human dump from my property in the Midwest or in Pittsburgh. I also can afford a nice house on a large wooded lot with plenty of privacy without being wealthy. Much is left over to fly to any major North American, Asian or European locale for cultural experiences without having to sell my late term off spring for medical experiments(Monty Python reference intended).
