Hit a bump in the road. As I started my Wednesday run my right soleus was not feeling right so I stopped to stretch it but the place I stopped at was not a great place to stretch the soleus so I went to jog across the road to a telephone pole to aid in stretching. Halfway there I had a sharp pain from the soleus due to a spasm or cramp. I guess the result was a mild strain that left me limping home. I estimate that a week off of running should give it enough time to heal and allow me to run again. I do want to be careful about giving it enough time to heal. I have had enough false starts in the past that extended recovery time and kept me away from proper training.
