He'd need a downhill trail 1500m to beat 3:32, I am quite sure.

Kejelcha will never be able to do that in the 10k and it is perfectly reasonable with a slower first half if he done 26:17. 26:17 is literally 13:08 pace so nothing crazy about running a sub 13 although it would be crazy to imagine anyone else doing it. Kejelcha is as dirty as a whistle that has literally been left in a sewer.
Riiiiiiight. Still believe in the Tooth Fairy, I'm guessing?

Copenhagen with Rupp,
https://www.iaaf.org/news/news/copenhagen-half-marathon-2018-entriesBut speaking about Yomif's future, as per Salazar most recent interview talking about Sifan's options 5/10k in Tokoyo, I believed Yomif will more likely is going to do the double. No doubt he would be fastest among current 10k runners.
3:28 in Monaco next year.

Could happen. I wouldn't be surprised by a 3:29.
Looks like they got Kejelcha on the good stuff that Farah had!

In fairness, he did run 3:32.9 (2017), 7:28.2 (2016), and 12:53.9 (2015) before he joined NOP. He is definitely on another level this year though, even after being injured at the start of the outdoor season.
If he goes sub-60 in Copenhagen that would be insane ... that would be 12:46, 3:32, 59:xx all within what, 17 days? My guess is he ends up more in the 60:30 - 61-low range, or even a DNF if he tries going out with the lead group.
Farah ran 59:32 (March) and 3:28.9 (July) about 4 months apart back in 2015 and at the time even that seemed pretty crazy to me.

Stop bullying Banana Bread. I for one think he is amazing and has to many brains for most people here. Of course the tooth fairy doesn't exist I'm not crazy. But maybe the tooth fairy is more believable then the NOP.
Them scrubs in the NOP can back the fukk away from Bekele's WRs because there not going to touch them.

Also, I think it's fairly obvious that he could run faster right now than 3:32 in a faster paced, time trail like race.
Perhaps at UTMB!!!

The slow winning time isn't significant, it's more impressive that he was neck-and-neck with Manangoi after running a lot outside lane 1, and easily beat Souleiman, Iguider, and two of the Ingebrigtsens
Nah, Filip had a massive setback after his antibiotics and Henrik is far behind cause of his hamstring. He almost retired before the summer.
Neck to neck with Manangoi though, pretty impressive.
Kejelcha is obviously very quick, but he's a dumb racer, mo is just a better tactician. Alberto needs to fix Kejelcha tactically brain, or barega etc will always beat him.
I think he and Salazar knows that a WR attempt at 5000m now is not likely. He just ran an all out 5, and conditions are not always that great, nor the pacers good enough. He'd really need someone to give him an even-paced 7:36 or so and then have some guys behind him to give him the incentive. He should go after either a great 3k time with better pacing than he had in his 7:28 or a 10k time on the track. Half marathon is fine but first get the real stuff in on the track.

Do you understand the sport? Where are they going to run this 3000m or 10000m on the track? Maybe next year.
It is interesting, theoretically there should be more fast 3,000m times of recent because there a lot of people out there who could take them through 1500m in 3:42.5 but there isn't many who could go through 3k in 7:36. I think Salazar is trying to see if Kejelcha is a miler-5,000m runner or a 5&10 guy for Tokyo.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
