That`s right. And in general it`s also best to train smart and individual very exact best, and not guessing what`s best.

High Schoolers and Collegiates-It’s cross country season. If you aren’t running twice a day you aren’t trying hard enough.
Change my mind.
I spent 2 weeks fasting on and off. Lost 10 lbs. Didn't train worth shlt and set PRs on Strava in every single distance on my first run after.
Training is overrated and ruins your body.

WRONG!!! It is always better to run doubles. Even if it is just four miles at midnight before you go to bed.
My top runners started doubles this week. Is it pointless? They have 9.5 weeks until their state meet. We'll use doubles for the next 5-6 weeks. I believe there can be gains in fitness and recovery thought doubles in that short of a time span before starting a very slight taper with no doubles into their post-season.
This happens throughout the day too. Physiologist have yet to determine exactly why humans actually NEED sleep.

Yes, your body does magically hit a kind of reset button every 24 hours. It is called sleep, when the body folds its unfolded proteins and cleans up some of the cellular waste. You can compare being tired before bed to being refreshed in the morning. It's like magic.
