Pingua's birthdate is Nov 25, 2001. 14 months younger than Jakob (38 days away from still being a youth this year). He ran 7:49 in Nairobi (1795m altitude) last year at age 15 (what is the NCAA conversion of 7:49 at 1795m?). Imagine if that was really his birthdate. He would be a phenom.
Jakob's best last year was only 13:35.
There is absolutely no way in any reality that Zakayo is only 16. That’s so stupid. Dude is 25-30. They’re trying to make him seem like 10 years younger? Not as bad as that Ethiopian girl in the 5k, but still not believable.
When Eliud Kipchoge beat K. Bekele and El G in the World Championships 5000, I believe it was 2003, he wasa listed as 18 years old and most people said he was really 25-30, now 15 years later he is THEE best Marathoner in the World and not even counting the gimmick of 2:00.25 he regularly runs under 2:05, so if he was really 25-30 that means he is now 40-45 and dominating the World, it has to be one or the other right?
Another Question If Africans (almost always meaning Kenyans or Ethiopians) are better distance runners in the 20-35 year range why wouldn't they be better at 14-19?
