Geoffrey Kipchumba was born and raised in Kenya and has a personal best of 29:18.11 for 10,000m. Does he have a genetic advantage over Chris Solinsky? Why can’t we say that Solinsky has a genetic advantage over Kipchumba? He’s more than two minutes faster.
Everyone in the world has a different level of talent for distance running and you can find more of the really talented ones in a couple of tribes in East Africa, but that doesn’t mean that every Easy African is automatically better than everyone else.
