Since Ajee is being defended and believed, by at least a good chunk of people here, do people feel the same way about Alberto Contador? Different substances, but same tainted beef defense?

Why would a female middle distance runner take Zeranol anyways? Have you even done your research at all? Explain to me the benefits of taking this drug to run faster in the 800m.

I don't know, as I don't do illegal drugs.
The drug that was found in Ajee's system was banned by the organization that she competes for. The drug was specifically listed, so it must have some benefit on performance.

Here's a fact that isn't made up: Ajee failed a drug test.
Here's another one: It would be pretty much impossible to have a human test positive for a drug that was processed through a cow while alive, then slaughtered and COOKED. The drug is then processed through the human......and then STILL produces a positive test? Whatever that substance is, it's indestructible. No wonder it's banned.
Idiots.

Ajee provided a receipt from the food truck she got the beef from which was tested and proven to contain the zeranol she tested positive for albiet in amounts too microscopic to receive any benefit. I'm pretty sure you don't actually believe that Ajee is dirty and you're just pissed because your favorite country has no good 800 runners!
microscopic amounts in meat, then it must have multiplied in Ajee's body to show up above the tolerance of a Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer .

Stop trolling. USADA only reported that she proved to have eaten beef, not that that beef contained extra large amounts of that forbidden steroid.

Yes, and the cows are fed the drug to fatten them up for eating. No self-respecting athlete would take an estrogen-producing drug and get slower.
She was also tested twice in the same week which saved her. She was tested the weekend prior - clean, then went to the restaurant, tested again, trace amounts.
She’s as clean as they come.

Zeranol IS given to cattle and it IS a growth promoter.
It is NOT a 'cardio vascular endurance drug', you just made that up. Like 90% of that posted on Letsrun.

If it were impossible then there would have been nothing to review.
The experts at drugs and fair play, ran the tests and agreed with Ajee.
Learn what ‘pretty much impossible’ is and come back.
It’s clear that Ajee’s story was very much possible — according to the experts.
USATF did not re-instate Ajee Wilsons American record. All experts still don't agree with the cow theory.
It's banned because it's a growth hormone. But in body building and such, it's been used there with bad results and gain of fat and weight. Also, it's not to stable. It's meant for livestock.
Clenbuterol is another story. That's actually pretty popular in the PED world because it helps shed fat and keep lean muscle. Also, the reason why Contador's story did no hold up is because it's banned for use with cows in Europe. It did not seem plausible.

My favorite country? Are you five years old?
And do I believe she's dirty? Perhaps I do. I don't believe in coincidences. Like when an elite athlete just happens to have substance in her body on a banned list. As someone else pointed out, the USTAF STILL does now acknowledge her performance that was conducted while under the influence of hamburger.

But did not acknowledge her results achieved while testing dirty. If they believed her story, why weren't her race results reinstated?
What a surprise. The year Wilson runs a 2-second PR she's busted for zeranol. Must be just a coincidence.
Lipsey runs around 2:01 for 5 consecutive years, then runs a 3-second PR the first year she joins Thompson -- the same year Wilson runs a 2-second PR and is busted. Must be just a coincidence.
On another note, likely doper Evan Jager wins his seventh straight.

Absolutely... These same people who keep screaming that all africans, russians and planet Mars are doping, but when it's Ajee, suddenly the governing bodies are experts and they know how to do their job including clearing her from any wrongdoing and "who dares to questions that".
I don't know if she is doping or not. I do know americans lose credibility on discussing doping and all the whining just sounds about politics and not the true goal of clean sport. Oh well.

It's clear you have absolutely no idea about drugs or how drugs are metabolised. I'm not sure why you think cooking the meat would somehow affect the molecular structure of the drug. Beef is cooked to 170F not 500F.
Also maybe you want to read about DDT to understand how substances (DDT is an insecticide) can carry through the food chain by species eating one another.

She absolutely could have been doping. That's undeniable. To say she definitely wasn't doping because they found the drug in beef would be careless.
However I don't like posters inventing facts and posting them like they know inside information about the case when they simply made it up. i.e. no, Zeranol is NOT an 'endurance drug', yes Zeranol absolutely is given to cattle, yes Zeranol exists in the meat of cattle which are administered it, Zeranol absolutely would not disappear from the meat upon cooking it and a human absolutely can have Zeranol in their bloodstream/urine after consuming beef from a cow given the growth hormone.
Now my first bit of speculation as to why they stripped her times off her would simply be that she was proved to have a banned substance in her body when running those times. Although they ruled it to not be her fault, she still gained an advantage.
I highly doubt it is because 'not all the experts agreed' and they came to some kind of compromise amongst themselves where she loses the records but avoids a ban. That isn't very democratic.
