Source? Pretty sure Salazar has her in the pool running and cross training like crazy while she is recovering from her injury. For example, look at Ritzenhein last year ran that 25k with only like a month of running. How dis he do it? He cross trains like crazy.

Okay ..you are right, I should clarify....run on land. Source is Hasay herself, on her public Instagram. She did a lot of bike riding but not much else.

if you are in shape, get injured, and continue with lots of cross training you don't lose much fitness at all. it will take time actually running to get back, but not from scratch.
What was here injury and when did it occur?
Are you kidding? Chicago is in Oct.. That’s a gazillion months away. You don’t need to worry about cross training during a break right now.

A stress fracture was found in her foot/heel the day before Boston, causing her to drop out.

Stress reaction not fracture.

Even a fracture doesn't take 8 weeks to heal.
A stress reaction can be overcome in just a few days, with proper use of ice water soaking.
That's ridiculous `/ wrote:

That is what I thought initially... usually stress reactions are given like two weeks to heal.
Also, in elite marathon runners, I guarantee if you did an MRI on all of them before a particular race, over half of them would have an MRI that showed a stress reaction. Bone is constantly being degraded and being remodeled. It must have been hurting her significantly because otherwise it would make no sense to drop out.
Yeah, she is out blazing. NOP posted this today. She looks in sub 2:20 shape. However, if Dibaba runs chicago again, well, you know how that is going to end.

See Sara Hall, Ottawa Marathon.
She looks stronger than ever, still maturing in that frame of hers. She treats her body like Tom Brady and LeBron James. They know how to eat, how to work out, and they know their limitations. She can probably run the Chicago Marathon tomorrow if it were on the table.
It’s no small achievement to be too low and coarse for LetsRun, but you’ve achieved that distinction. Could you please find more worlds to conquer elsewhere now?
My running partners and I saw her on the NIKE track today. She's looking healthy and I agree with one of the posters here, that is she appears to be maturing into her age. Jordan seems to be always focused, looking ahead never behind. You have to love the sport to stay committed as long as she has. You have to admire what she has accomplished.
I like that the 40 or so miles I've run over the last 8 weeks trumps Jordan.

i guess that is why she missed the race.... because she knows how to take care of her body.
She's a real cutei pei
