I looked at the 5000m heats in the West. It will not be easy to make it out for anybody.
Heat 1:
Trouard
FIsher
Perrin
McMillan
Leon
McGorty...
Heat 2 has a similar story line.
Pretty nerve racking to do a simple sit and kick.

Womens West 5k loaded as well
Ostrander, V.Fraser, W. Kelati, C. Taylor, O’ Keefe are in what was referred to as the ‘easy’ heat.
Kurgat, Schweizer, A. Neale in the the other heat
wouldn't be shocked to see Kurgat and Schwiezer duke it out in heat one and run fast from the front, putting pressure on heat 2 to run fast as well. Might see some surprisingly fast times considering it's just a qualifying round.
Look at the second heat of the 5000m in the East. It was very slow. As a result, Conor Lundy, who has PBs of 3:54 (1500m) and 14:07.99 (5000m) qualified for Eugene.
If you leave it slow enough, not only do you have to worry about the good runners, but you now have to worry about some other runner who just happens to be perfectly placed.
is there a link for live splits?

Karissa . crushes last lap 15:19
How did Schweitzer put 6 secs on kurgat in last lap????
Burdon 6th in 15:34, so that's the cutoff for time qualifiers for heat 2
Karissa closed in 64
kurgat . 15:25
Wow. Kurgat pushed the pace from the front the entire race, probably trying to break Schweizer and then Schweizer just roasted her on the last lap by SIX SECONDS for 15:19 to 15:25.
Are you kidding me? That is nuts.
