Good luck Bdubs!!!
Good luck Bdubs!!!
I'd go Adios, but I love those things and am not objective at this point. Either way, it's a marginal difference based on preference and you'll be great either way.
Congrats to OR!!! Your report is interesting to me. For a guy that runs alone so much and is very good at competing against your watch, you really seemed to enjoy the competition against John. I think it's great. Talent, diligence, and competitive fire is a trifecta of blessings. (Though I agree with Smoove...)
RRR: Dude is a workhorse. Fighting back from injury to give what he had for his teammates. RESPECT.
There's more here to comment on, but I'm knee deep in family obligations. Back soon...
Gooooooo Bdubs!
Go Bdubs!
You are absolutely right, Coach Jeff. I absolutely loved competing with John yesterday. I have not talked about it much simply because I wanted to analyze the hurt zone topic.
Yes, competing in that way is so out of the ordinary for me, a solo runner who does not race as much these days. You had to “hear” the things going through my mind as we duked it out, mile by mile. Things were mostly like “Who is this kid?” and “A kid that thinks he could stick with me in a 10k?” and “Why are they all cheering for him, and how do they all know him?” and “Have to stay in front of him and break him.” When I crossed the line, I saw him bent over with his hands on knees, breathing hard. As I approached, he looked up and put out his fist, and I put out mine. Will never forget the look on his face. It was one of warmth and respect.
Pehraps I will post these thoughts in the upcoming thread, as they are relevant.
I should add: John was probably thinking: “Who does this skinny, scruffy-looking old guy think he is? ...he cannot match my kick.”
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
