No, I just added Michigan. I didn't take Texas or A&M off my list. I intend to decide after my last visit this weekend.
Texas A&M has no cross country success in a very long time, they run very hard and the training clearly doesn't work, also in a confrence with Arkansas/Bama/Ole Miss and region with Arkansas/Texas it's hard to take them down. Texas also hasn't had much success as a team in a while, they have Worley and Rogers who are great individuals but that's it. They did get a new coach but by looking at their results from Wisco something isn't working out. If i had to choose between the two, I'd go with the Longhorns.
After reading this whole thread I'm laughing. College station is the literal armpit of texas (have you been? everything is beige and smells like manure) and their team is objectively... just... not that good?
That is all.
I got back from Michigan yesterday. Great new facilities and the coaches were great. I got request for an official visit to another school but I am not sure if I want to expand to four. It's going to be hard to fit in another one before the end of the season. I'll let you know what happens.
One thing to consider asking the coaches is what their expectations are for your scholarship. Many programs will offer a scholarship then reduce it / pull it after a year unless you're scoring at conference. This isn't necessarily shady if they're up front about it but if you're not expecting it you can get a bitter feeling that's hard to resolve.
As for programs, going by recent history Texas will be in the mix to win the Big 12 (9) for all three seasons, A&M likely only in the SEC mix for indoor and outdoor. However, A&M will likely win a couple of NCAAs in track while you're there, while Texas will have a much lesser shot until the new coach gets his program going. At either school you'll likely win at least one conference title, at Texas you will likely win more than at A&M, but if you qualify for NCAAs while at A&M you will have a greater chance to be on an NCAA champion team. That being said, qualifying for NCAAs isn't easy.
As for Michigan, they should be in the mix each year to win Big 10s in XC (though there's always a chance Wisconsin will peak at conference each year and you'll get blanked). Big 10 track is a crapshoot but not a crapshoot Michigan has won in the last few years, so there's that to consider.

Thanks for the info. Do you know anything about Duke?
I am leaving for Syracuse in the morning. I did not want to stay on the east coast at first but figure it is worth going since it is so close. I’ll let you know what I find out.

It was amusing at the start, but you're trying to run the troll too far.
I keep hearing that A&M is better at engineering and has better facilities than UT. Can anyone confirm? I care more about getting a job after school than some BS US World ranking.

They do. Texas is stuck in the 70s, when they used to be good and looks more like a D2 or mid major. US News ranks them as the most overated school in the world.
A&M has a great new engineering building and quad. TU’s engineering buildings smell like sweat and desperation.
OK State. Hands down end of conversation.
We didn't have anyone on a visit when you said you were here. Don't know why you would be making this up but it is kinda sad. Set up a tinder account and get back to playing fortnite.
