I understand the rule and agree that if you finish 4th in your heat that there's not much argument to make on principle to be advanced to the final. However, doesn't the timing system go down to the ten thousandth? I remember that Tarmoh tied a few years ago so it's possible but what are the odds that two people tie down to the ten thousandths? Well, I guess in a photo finish it's 1 in 10 or 1 in 100 if we consider finishers with a different time to the hundredth aren't really in a photo finish. And of course the 60 will result with more close finishes than any other race simply because it's the shortest race. Anyway, does anyone know the precision of the timing system this meet is using?
Also want to agree that in a race like the 60 where everyone just blasts it they should just take the top 8 times to the finals.
