He was one of my favorite running youtubers and he just disappeared.
Where'd he go?

Yeah he's awesome...probably just taking a break for a bit, he's done it before. School and stuff most likely
Bump.
He had some decent episodes about college running.
The women's team hi-jacked his camera and made an episode, and I don't think they gave it back.
Perhaps the NCAA is putting pressure on him to cut it out. NCAA enjoys exploiting its athletes for financial gain while depriving them of the same.

One would think he would have made an announcement about that.
I his comments section someone asked two months ago when he is making a new episode and he just said "soon"
Honestly, the whole runner vlogging thing is over saturated now. I don't see a logical point for him to do it when he can't profit and everyone else is doing the same thing. With that being said, Spencer had some of the best content. It has always felt authentic, not forced, and never did you see him post a clickbait title for the sake of views. Hopefully, he makes a return but if not we'll have a plethora of shitty vlogs to enjoy.

This. He's probably busier than he was as a freshman and I imagine travelling for meets is a lot easier when you don't have to film everything. Can't imagine making new videos is high on his priority list as a college student.
Agreed 100% wrote:

kinda sad tho. His content was great, and now all we have left (collegiately) are Ryan Trahan and his buddies, and their content is GARBAGE

I know that Trahan quit the XC team and dropped out of college. How does he continue to live in an A&M residence if he is not enrolled in school? I also just looked at the A&M Track roster and none of his other roommates are on the team any longer. All 4 roommates quit the team? What is up with that?
The A&M freshman group is a joke - a bunch of kids who don’t realize the opportunity that they had and how much of a privilege it is to compete at that level in the NCAA. They had too much of a problem with working hard as a student athlete and not being allowed to make money off their YT channels and not making money off of running outside of scholarships. So you’re limited in some of your freedoms for a few years as an athlete... big deal. You have so much at your fingertips as a student athlete that the normal student does not get. Sure, goofing around on your YT channel is some short sighted fun. You know what’s really fun though? Working your butt off with your teammates and reaching success together.
On the topic of YT channels, it’s so easy for a high level student athlete to gain a following just because of reputation. No matter the quality of content, someone can gain tons of subscribers just for going to some big name D1 university and uploading crappy videos (not naming anyone, but I’m sure some of you know of a few). However, good distance running vlogging is rare because people want to see workouts, training, and times. It’s tough for student athletes to do that because it’s a distraction at practice and they don’t want to reveal the training of their respective teams.
Bump...would love to hear about where Spencer is as well as why those freshman from A&M all quit the track team
I completely agree. I will add that I don't really understand why this Trahan guy thinks he is going to make any real money off his youtube channel (especially in this age of youtubers, 25,000 subs is paltry). No offence to they guy, but I know that I certainly didn't watch his videos for his "funny" skits or cringey dialogue and friends. The only appeal to his channel was watching the life of a fairly high level NCAA div 1 runner, and now he has none of that...
He seemed to have a pretty decent niche carved out when he was still on the team, but now he's just the same as every other mediocre vlogger out there...
he hath returned
Follow him on instagram, he said before that he will be doing well instagram live more than YouTube
I also see people attacking Ryan and the other guys, Ryan dropped out because his main focus was his business, college was holding him back from expanding or even maintaining it at all
Life does not revolve around running or a degree and it’s hreat to see that he has his focus right and doesn’t succumb to pressure from people like there is here holding him back
THE ATHLETE SPECIAL IS BACK BABY!!!

Soren Knudsen had a good channel too, but has gone quiet for three months and hasn't run for NAU this winter....
