-More experience in pressured situations
-Stronger(aerobically)than every 800m runner in the field
-Every other 800 runner in the field has over raced to prove themselves when clayton should already know he is top American
-Training with new team means needed to find new legs
-Alberto knows how to prepare runners
-Finally has some base after a few weeks off
Give me more reason why he will win below
Clayton Murphy will win USAs here is why:

Once Eddy C. gets his citizenship, he will win everything from the 400 to the 10k

1- Yeah.. that showed at USAs last year
2- Yeah.. that showed when he ran 1:50
3 - I'm not going through everyone's racing schedule, but I feel confident saying everyone has raced a similar amount
4 - Unmeasurable - just a lame claim
5 - Unmeasurable - just a lame claim
6 - So does everyone else (except Berian)
He won't win. -
Clayton Murphy vs Donovan brazier will be the biggest US riviarly for years to come. The last two USA champions are bound to eventually meet head to head in a final, it hasn’t happened yet only due to unfortunate events with brazier not making it out of the first round in ‘16 and Murphy trying that stupid double in super hot sac town.
This is like symmonds/Robinson 2.0 Except i believe brazier is a lil stronger over the final 100 than KD was. This is due to DB having sub 4 ability to couple his 45 400 speed.
Kids that want to be elite over 800m remember this: 45 400m speed w/ sub 4 mile ability= elite 800m runner. -
Do not know how the race will play out but if we see a three way kick for the line Sowinsk gets Silver. He must be in second
going into the final turn to have a shot and if he's smart that is where he'll be
I've been told at a 52.5-53 second 400 pace the centrifugal force naturally puts the runner directly over the lane 1>2 line. -

i have a feeling he'll win too. i like this call

you're wrong. i split 49 a few times in college on 200m tracks and was within lane 1
where'd you hear this? -
1. This is not in any way a bold take.
2. The reasons you gave are mostly speculative and terrible. -
Donovan will just ‘Rudisha’ this race.
He’s simply faster/fitter than anyone else in the field right now. He’ll just take it out in 50.x and hold on for a 1:44-45 win that no one else will be able to live with.
No one can touch Donovan over 800m in the entire world at this moment besides Saruni. -
Korir* I meant. Mixed up UTEP Kenyan guys.
-
Is it true that Murphy is going to one-up his previous performance by tripling at the next championship?

Clayton has raced 4 times, most of the guys entered have only raced 2-3 times. Comparatively speaking Clayton has over raced. -

If Sowinski is going to win he needs to simply outrun the field and hope they don't catch him. If he doesn't have a 5 meter lead rounding the bend, Brazier, Windle, or Murphy will easily hawk him down. -
Murphy doesn’t need to win USAs. He only needs to make the team. If he is still rounding into shape(I believe he is). Then he is setting himself up for a good performance in Birmingham. Brazier is still the unknown. He may be our best 800m runner. He needs to medal on the world stage before being able to take that crown. He runs great when he is at the front. The 800 is so tactical that a one trick pony better be really good at that one trick. Dude has wheels but what happens when he can’t get out in the 1 or 2 position on the big stage. Both are young and I hope they push each other for a long time.

Just because you love the afros doesn't mean this mid 1:43 runner is anything special. He's not top 10 in the world. Most of the top do not even know who he is.
He’s #2 in the world this year... -

No way USA's is tactical because not only does Sowinski like to take it out anyways, he also needs the world standard so he's a shoe in to take it out in 51/1:18. You know what Brazier has ran the past 2 races when he went through 600 at 1:18? 1:45. Him and Windle and maybe Clayton if he's rounding into form are the only one's capable of that. But if Sowinski does what I think he's going to do then Brazier take this in another 1:45 low to mid. -

Lol, Do you mean Emmanuel Korir, the guy who ran 1:44 and beat Brazier by a full second at Millrose? -

He's #2 just in the same way that McDonald is #1 in the 5000
