I went on a recruiting visit at AU in 2010 and also quickly decided not to go. When the athletes hosting you talk about how much the coach sucks ... maybe he shouldn’t be the coach. Apparently centro would skip practices/ show up hungover.

In all fairness, the athletes also skipped practices or showed up hungover. Is it fair to really blame the coach for that?
What a cluster f###. I always assumed he was a good coach based on the name but the school should be embarrassed. Wouldn’t surprise me if he was about to get axed. Better coaches have been for less.
centrowitz, sr is still the best pure drunk high jumper I have ever seen. still holds records in johnson city, tn.
You should see him mow the lawn drunk

If NCAA XC championships were awarded based on how much the coach could drink, there would probably be a couple trophies in Tenleytown. Unfortunately for Centro and the eagles, it’s based on how fast the team runs and how many people they beat.
There’s a trump tweet for that:

Trump's leadership philosophy: take credit, assign blame.
Donald’s fat ass needs to do a little less lying, a little more running.
I’m a runner in the area who is close friends with several alumni of Americans team that I met when I ran for George Mason. Centrowitz had a pending NCAA investigation against him for several things, including cutting scholarships of injured athletes halfway through the semester, knowing about and ignoring eating disorders amongst his athletes, along with a whole slew of other vile things. The NCAA began calling dozens of athletes that ran under him until it became so imminent that he would get screwed, that the AD told him he could step down to save his credibility or get fired. He obviously chose the former.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
