Just saw the movie. Loved it. Loved the force seen with Leia (and that she could use a bit of force); someone said they didn't think it was believable that she was so peaceful, but that's how the force often works -- and you know there was a huge strain on her because she was in the ICU for the next several scenes. Liked that they called the casino planet a horrible place and the ambiguity of good/evil. Loved that Luke was a projection -- when he got shot by all those cannons and just brushed it off, I realize in retrospect how well he played it off as being all "yeah I'm a jedi". Maybe Leia knew the dice weren't real. LOVED that C3P0 was basically written out of the movie and didn't have to have a stupid joke every two seconds. Didn't mind the animals on the island planet (yeah the cow beast was creepy, that was intentional). Loved the way the red stuff flew up on the salt planet. Didn't mind that Finn didn't reciprocate the
The plot point that seemed really contrived to me was that Laura Dern wouldn't tell Poe (or anyone else?) what the plan was.
The biggest thing I dislike, and the only reason I'm posting here, is because of the poster "theJeff". Really dude, you can't conceive of a galaxy far away where a couple of women are political leaders? It's ok for an alien like Admiral Ackbar to be an admiral because he's a guy but god forbid a woman? And it seems weird to you that there were two characters played by Asian women (or were you lol'ing at the possibility of an "interracial" romance)? I'm sick of your racist and sexists posts. Go away.
