I know Hadley's (MPR) training philosophy and his story well. His daughter is taking a break from competitive running while she focuses on her undergrad/graduate degrees, after setting some records, winning a big marathon, and qualifying for the Olympic Trials while in high school. Many on here don't like that and the path she took this far in the sport (not taking part in high school sports) and have been very critical of MPR because of it, especially after a few articles in big publications promoted her in articles as the next big thing, and she struggled under the pressure of those expectations. My take is good on her and MPR to take a step back and keeping some balance in her life and focusing on her education.
But as far as MPR's training methods, they seem to be very successful. He appears to leverage a lot of things from Canova, Vigil and Daniels with his own twists. Good on him for sharing as much information as he does for free on his website.
