It’s too hard to read him online. Would have to meet him IRL to figure out what he’s actually like.
Do you run competitively?

whats your current ferritin value?
I haven’t had it tested for a while but it was ~30 the last time I had my blood drawn.

Yes.
I'm going to buy you a pony. No make that a unicorn.
Do you have a long history of self-sabotage or is this a new thing?

They say you’re fully recovered within 6 weeks.
Well, that was fun! I felt pretty good. They had zero trouble finding my vein and I donated very quickly. I felt a little dizzy while they were finishing up, but recovered after a few minutes and a lot of water. They didn't have any healthy snacks so all I had was this:

Can't wait to get back to training hard in 24 hours!
Keep us posted over the next few days, please. It would be interesting to see what you experience.
Pro tip: For the rest of the day, and maybe tomorrow, avoid standing in place for any extended period. A coworker (some hours after donating) was standing against the wall and talking with some of us for a while. When she turned to walk away she fainted dead away and fell pretty heavily onto the (padded, fortunately) floor. Only real damage was a rug burn on her chin, plus a moderate pride injury. Coulda been worse.

Thanks for the tip lease! That sounds embarrassing
Water and sleep and take it slow this week.
1) What is your blood type?
2) Have you ever done an apheresis donation?

So...... you're saying there's a chance??
You were about 70 points below ideal to start with and will likely drop to about 25 now if you were actually at 30 yesterday. If you can get your ferritin up to 100 in 6 weeks please let us know how you did that. I coach about 20 girls that would love to know.

No. I’m not sure what that means.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to get all the way up to 100, but I will make sure to take plenty of dark leafy greens and red meat! ??

I've got some leafy greens and red meat for ya.... heh heh.
Well, maybe this wasn’t such a smart idea. I just puked my guts out. I felt great while donating, but felt nauseated about 4 hours after. I threw up 30 minutes after I started feeling off. But I feel great again now!
Step up to a double red donation if you want to become a Real Woman(tm)
