I'm 29 and have been looking at women more and more in terms of long-term partnership, and something I've noticed is that most "career-oriented" women tend to have some kind of chip on their shoulder that makes them unpleasant a lot of the time. I'm pretty career-oriented myself and would ideally like a woman who was smart and driven also, but a lot of the women around my age or a little older I've gone out with who are indeed successful tend to have some rather significant character/personality flaws that make being married to them seem like not a great idea. I'm not really sure what the deal is, but it's like they're out to prove something and are often kind of condescending and even downright nasty.
Is this just me?
