Classic letsrun, a thread about an attractive girl gets morphed into a political argument by two zitty dullards

The weirdest part is that the two of them basically created their own thread spontaneously. I had to go back to even figure out where it started, because I was confused how their posts were related to anything else in the thread.
It really didnt morph into a discussion of politics, it suddenly shot waaaaaay to the side into something that isnt really even a coherent discussion, while others continued posting between them about Allison Stokke.
Anyway, the person who pointed out Stokke isnt a "real" professional athlete was right, she really is more of a fitness model who happens to pole vault. Only once in her life has she cleared a height that is higher than the typical opening height at USATF nationals. In 2012 and 2016 she was "training for the olympics" despite being ranked outside the top 20........ Americans....
Dont get me wrong, being in the top 30 americans in a track event is impressive
Her pv is about equivalent to a man with a pr in the mile of around 3:58 or 3:59. It is fast, but it sure isn't professional track athlete fast. It might be free shoes, some free race entries, maybe small prizes for making nationals or other achievements, but certainly nowhere near even the poverty line level of income, unless you are actually just selling your good looks.
