Looks like Rotich of Tulane is in a good position.

HARD surge by Kigen here, strings out the front pack. NAU 1-2 still holding strong
Dang Hasan Abdi moving up 91 spots from 2k to 4k
Almost had a heart attack when I saw Grant Fisher in 46th... then realized it was FISCHER not FISHER... crisis averted.
Hoping that Grant can pull another national championship!!
BYU 1-4 is packed well, Fisher is with them. Knight has been quietly sitting in 7th-8th
Oh yeah, and the strength of the West and Mountain regions is insane. Top 6 teams overall plus 11th, 14th, 21st and 22nd.
NAU BYU PORTLAND CSU through 4k
Does anyone else find Fisher's body geometry/running form fascinating? His legs seem so large and muscular, really long femurs maybe? And his hip motion is just rock solid. I feel like I have similar leg length/proportions. Not what you might typically find on a runner but he really makes it work.
Kigen leading, chase pack of about 8 15m behind
The Tom Sawyer course is a fast course. Not like Terra . This will change the race .
Carney in 63rd after 4K is also moving up through the field (33 spots in last 2k), but he is also spending a lot of energy going through the field

247 runners through the 2k split and now 253 through the 4k split??? cheating, we need to get on the case of these race cheaters.
Peter Lomong might win this for NAU....looks like he's having a huge day
NAU's 3rd is with BYU 1-2 and Fisher in a second group 20m back of front group, which is about 10 behind Kiprop
Who are you talking about???

I think it's fascinating to see what Stanford has done to him. He ran in my conference in high school and his unorthodox, mechanical running form always made me think he was such an inefficient runner. He never looked fluid until he got to Stanford. One of us is a sub-4 miler though so hey he can do what he wants.
One thing I've noticed that I've always thought about when looking at Fisher even now is that his feet seemed slightly turned inwards when he steps. Looks like he has great knee drive but kinda pigeon-toed. Anyone else agree? And does anyone think this is inefficient in any way?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
