No, to anyone knowledgeable about running, it was obviously about the runner. Very well/known.

Robert was my first thought too honestly... He is the more popular Lewandowski.. And being a soccer player he has to have an above average aerobic capacity, so not really that far off.
It is not unreasonable that 6:10 pace is easy. Look up Jack Daniels’ vo2 charts. Someone with a vo2 of 75 would find 6:10 pace easy, which isn’t uncommon. Many high schoolers have vo2 values that high
There is nothing about the thread's title that suggests this would be about the runner and not the footballer. Who would it be more surprising to see on a tredmill? The footballer. I was hoping it was going to be him doing the 25mph treadmill attempt.
Are you a complete idiot? For a 1,43 runner 3,50/km is a walk in the park.
he has it at 0% incline, regardless the pace isn't that hard on a treadmill, once you go below 6:40 pace its cake
i look just as easy at that pace on the treadmill... have faster PR's than most but most sub-elites or good collegiate runners have no trouble running that pace on a treadmill

Even more surprising (but still plausible given physique and general go-get-em lean-in attitude) would be the presidential campaign manager reeling off 6:10 miles (because Corey certainly would not be a fan of metric!).
For a pro, this pace on a tmill is just that easy. At no incline, if that is what he had, I can work up to running five miles at 5:12-5:15 pace with a heartrate in the 150s. He would be able to do far, far better.
ROFL.
He runs 3:3x or something. So he can run 3:50 pace for 3.5 minutes, but he is going to be "in over his head" at 6:10 pace just a minute and a half later?
I'll tell you what I think happened. You read the title and thought it was some soccer guy, and then wanted to sound intelligent so you made up some stuff about his running style and his gait to seem like you really knew what you were talking about. Unfortunately for you, this guy is a 3:3x guy and 6:10 pace is actually super easy for him.

I was not talking about whether this is 'easy' for lewandowski or not, I was simply pointing out that this pace does not look like 6:10/mile. Looks a hell of a lot slower

Seriously. Just look at this woman running a 23 second 100 (about 6:10 pace) and tell me who seems like they're going faster:
https://youtu.be/01ZOXady5aQ?t=103Sorry there HONEST ANSWER but the honest truth is that 3:50 per K is extremely easy for a world class distance runner. My guess he is running with a HR around 125-35 but don't really know why he is posting such a video! But good to hear him including the family in the background!

Wonder if part of it is an "optical illusion" because treadmill, in maybe that perhaps the mill is pushing your feet under you -- maybe things look slower on a treadmill and also you dont have the visual cues of things the runner would be passing?

No chance in hell that video is right. They said guy #2 did a 30s 100m....that's 8:00 pace. Guy was definitely running a bit faster than that, and while 4:00 pace might be different, I feel pretty dam confident saying no healthy, reasonably fit male is going to struggle to hit top speed of 7.5mph.

So did I.
me too.
I have a teammate who runs his 2km repeats in 6 minutes. But to anyone seeing it from the outside without a watch it looks like he's going at 3:30km pace (7min). His stride length is crazy. He also has a 3:53 at 1500m and I reckon he would look just as easy as Lewandowski on that treadmill.
Measure your heart rate while you are in your couch. See the result? That's his heart rate at that speed probably. 3:50 is super easy for him.

Yes, he is fit, and that pace is easy for him.
No, his heart rate while running is NOT "probably" similar to the resting heart rate of the (presumably fit) people here. To suggest that it is implies a serious lack of understanding of heart rate, which makes one wonder why you drew this ludicrous comparison to begin with.

There are some shockingly unfit people in this world, and they just don't know how their bodies work.
Also, there was a 90 degree turn in that 100m race. Crazy.
Still, that video was hilarious!
I thought is was The Big.
