You know who really reminds me of Pre? Connor MacMillan.

The streak is over!!
Wow. The Colorado close fails to materialize. Just like NCAAs in 2015 when Syracuse won, Colorado is beaten late in the race.
At the 6th split (20:20 into race for leaders), Colorado led 49 to 56, but at the finish, Stanford was your winner. 41 to 47.
I guess. The race hadnt really split yet so Stanford's better talent at the top likely was going to win out in the end, as it did when their guys made the break (as they should have) and Colorado's 2-3 did not (which would have been expected).
If Dressel runs I'd bet he'd have made the break and then Colorado would be clear. Even if he finishes 5 behind Stanford top 3 Colorado still wins 39-43 by my count.
Of course, getting to the line is part of the race but I'd say this is nothing like NCAAs in 2015 unless you're just looking to sensationalize things. There, with both teams at full strength, some Colorado guys went uncharacteristically backwards and some Syracuse guys gained a ton of spots. Here, Colorado was down a 2x AA and 13:44 runner and, without him, the race was always going to favor Stanford once everyone started to go and the horses came to the front.

Yeah he runs more like Viren. You know, the guy who won.

Klecker has a lot of Pre in him.
It is interesting to see the places shift so dramatically at each split. It's a beast of a conference on both the men's side and the women's side.
I believe tie breakers are determined by head to head matchups of the top 5.
1st runner: Oregon's 1st beats Stanford's 1st
2nd runner: Oregon
3rd runner: Oregon
4th and 5th: Stanford
Oregon wins tie breaker 3-2.
Oregon:
2-6-11-23-29 (just top 5 was 71 points)
their 6th was 39 totaling 181 points
Stanford:
4-7-16-19-25 (just top 5 was 71 points)
their 6th runner was 30th (totaling 101 points)
You could count Stanford's top 8 and they would still beat Oregon

Why did Oregon T&F tweet that they were the runner ups for Pac-12's when the Stanford women beat them in a tie breaker?!

sixth-woman tiebreak is high school.
from NCAA rule book:
Ties in team scoring shall be broken by comparing in order the place finish
of each of the five scoring members of the tied teams. The team with the
majority of winning comparisons shall be awarded the higher place
Stanford didnt run Ratcliffe end of story
Fair. Running Ratcliffe (who DNFd at NCAAs and has not shown himself to be nearly as consistent as Dressel, even frosh to frosh, where Dressel was top 30) likely would swing things for Stanford. But him not running doesnt make this result "just like NCAAs in 2015," which was the main point of the response to RoJo.

So the BYU men just perfect-scored the #3 team in the country (Portland).
Granted, Portland rested a few guys from the squad that got 2nd at Wisconsin...but they ran their #1 and #2 from that race. I don't know that adding in their 3rd or 4th man from that race would have made a difference.
This is big. Very impressive. It seemed almost unfair watching the race- like men among boys.
Yes men against boys.. BYU's average age it's 22 on the team. Should like a pretty typical D1 top 7 average age to me.. get over yourself and just accept that BYU is good for their hard work, coaching, Zander recruiting.
Assume the ACC ran the same course as Pre-Nats?

Why would they rest guys at their conference meet? That's so dumb. NCAA coaches already rest their top guys plenty. Now we're saying conference meets don't matter?
it sucks, Portland coach thinks he is playing some mind games with BYU though haha
Uh no, Coach Connors has always done this, long before BYU was in the conference, and the WCC was a joke. Back in the day UP used to rest the majority of their top 7 and still sweep the meet.

I don't think Portland ever swept the meet. Pretty sure I heard today BYU's perfect score was a conference record low score, previously 17 points by BYU 2 years ago I believe.

Wow, you seriously just called Fisher a wimp?
I remember when he tried to break 4 solo indoors in hs at new balance
Also winning>losing, fisher is the classiest of guys you'll ever meet, untterly disrespectful

Correct old record was 17, might be the best conference performance ever considering they perfect scored the #3 team in the country

I am a fan of another team but yeah, it's obvious, Fisher is a classy guy, he's got a good future in and out of running.
the men's course at New Mexico was about 200 meters short according to my coaches GPS so those times aren't as fast as it seems.
