again Americans with their kick talk. I like Bekele, but Kipchoge is not only more consistent but in way better shape- that means faster! Kick or no kick. Secondly- Kipchoge has managed to outkick Bekele on the track, so it's not that if they get together to the end it's a clear win for Bekele. Thirdly, this is a freaking marathon, not some 1500m centro slow mo sit and kick. I have given here endless examples of fast kickers being schooled by no kickers at all at the end of a long race. So all that talk bout someone pacing only to be outkicked- leave it to the slow moes sit and kickers in track races
bekele wins in 2:02 mid
Afraid to discount kipsang and kipchoge but I feel bekele is in shape and bekele will hulk smash every piece of ass out there wheh he's fit, east african or not
1) Bekele: 2:02:37
2) Kipsang: 2:02:56
3) Kipchoge: 2:03:34

A Utah police detective accused of assaulting and unlawfully arresting a nurse after she refused to let him take a blood sample from an unconscious patient without a warrant was fired on Tuesday from his second job as a part-time ambulance driver.
Jeff Payne was terminated from his job at Gold Cross Ambulance service over comments he made while taking nurse Alex Wubbels into custody on July 26 which were captured on his body camera, Gold Cross president Mike Moffitt told Reuters.
The comments suggested that Payne would bring transients to University of Utah Hospital, where Wubbels worked, while transporting "good" patients to another facility, Moffitt said.

Go MAGA man!!!
You mad, bro?
With all my respect Sir, how someone can believe Kipchoge gets 3rd and over 2:03 while the others get 2:02. There will be world-class pacers this time and they will have the task to get to 30k at 2:02 low pace, then Kipchoge turns the screw and wins. P.S : You can't outkick someone if the pace drained the energy out of you, if you gave 100% until then, you're wrecked and can't give anymore. So this 'kick' thing works only in races where by the last k they haven't been 100% on full gas, which definitely WON'T be the case.

Both of Bekele's WRs (5,000 &10,000m) he had his fastest lap at the last lap....and was definitely in sprint mode last 100m. I think sometimes even if giving 100% there is still that bit extra with the finish line near
I'd give Kipchoge the win with a 2:03:40.
A WR split would be around 1:01:20 or so, but I can imagine that the pace will start to fade after halfway: a mixture of a natural slowdown plus a tactical component.
My prediction:
Kipsang throws in a bit of a surge at the 30km. 2km later realizing he can't drop them he stops and decides he will simply follow whenever someone else decides to throw a surge of his own.
At 38/39km Kipchoge drops a 2:48 km like he did to Biwott in London and breaks away. Kipsang and Bekele follow but Kipchoge is relentless and opens a 40 meter gap. Bekele beats Kipsang in a sprint finish.
Bekele and Kipsang stay in 2nd and 3rd this year just over 2:04, while Kipchoge wins.
I would love to see some crazy fast times from everyone, I like them all.
They're all doped to the gills but I'm cool with it. Bekele vs Kipchoge is pretty epic. I predict Kipchoge crushes Kennys soul to the point where he DNF: A Bekele win and wr would be neat too.

Yup. He (out-)kicked the ever-loving shit out of Kipsang last year.
Guys, Bekele is adequately update this time. So what he only ran for two weeks before London. So what he got Mufasa'd in Dubai. All-in on Bekele while he's on the upswing. We're cashin' out max tendies with a world record.

Hopefully she gets to sleep at least during women's and others' races or when commercials are displayed. lol :D
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
