Started off great and then it was all downhill from there.
It was pretty sweet. About 70-80 people showed up. Noted Cal runners spanning about 30 years and a number of Bay Area runners from various clubs who had a connection to David plus the Cal coaches. It was a very positive but subdued atmosphere. It was earlier in the evening (10 p.m.) and on a hot Friday night so there were plenty of buzzed people and cars out. During the quick speech beforehand they tried to ask people to run down the sidewalks, but that didn't work. Everyone ran down the middle of Bancroft and it was a river of fun. There were no injuries or arrests so people probably thought it was some kind of college prank and shrugged it off. People walked back to the top of Bancroft (a mile up), then broke off into smaller groups and got beers afterward.

That's awesome.
Any video? I'd like to watch it.
That is a great tribute to a guy that was a great runner but more importantly a great person. RIP David
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
