I noticed Conor becoming increasingly gassed, and He could barely stand up in the 10th round when Mayweather pounced on him.
What kind of fatigue was that? Muscular or cardio? Could Conor just run some extra miles to improve his endurance? Or was it that Conor's initial pace was too much for anyone to maintain? If Floyd had set himself up at Conor's initial pace, would he have been gassed out by the 10th round, as well?
I'm trying to get a feel for why everyone predicted that Conor would gas out -- and then he did. If everyone knew that, then why didn't Conor conserve his energy or design his training to improve his endurance? Was it because he had no choice?
Ignoring the previous idiotic responses you got because this is a good question.
It looked like muscular fatigue. I don't think he had trouble standing, but he had trouble moving his arms. Mayweather would swing and he couldn't get his hand up for defense.
I'm guessing swinging to much was the problem. A more experience boxer could probably have kept his hand up, but other fights are fewer rounds for a reason.
so uncool that they barred their holes this weekend

You don't need power when you can rip someones arm out of its socket. We had these types of fights early on in MMA. The boxers got destroyed. Heck I bet Ronda Rousey (well if she was health) would beat the crap out of FM with MMA rules. Having a ground game is that important.
For sure Rousey would kill someone like myself with very little fighting experience bar the odd schoolyard scuffle at the age of 13 or so. However, in her two losses she lost completely during the stand up portion of the fight. Against Holly Holm she was outstriked early in the 2nd round. Against Amanda Nunes she was just punched continuously for 48 seconds. Before these fights happened I believed Dana White and thought that she would just destroy anybody in a fight maybe even Mike Tyson by just throwing them onto the ground and just breaking their arm but things seem to be a bit more complex than that. When someone has good foot work and punching power such as Nunes then it seems that you have to have something to deal with that - you cannot just walk into them and throw them onto the ground which makes me unsure about the hypothetical Floyd Mayweather fight.
Both of those people had legit skills other than boxing that you had to defend against. Remove that and the game changes. When MMA style fights started out, boxers used to show up and think they were going to know out everyone. Pretty much all of them where put on their backs by Wrestling/Judo/... types pretty quick. Now a days everyone is a hybrid who might be good at one thing but they tend to be pretty solid in another 2-3 techniques. That being said I think she stopped putting in the work a while back and isn't (and will never be) what she once was. And going against a Tyson (what like 4" taller, 75+lbs heaver) in remotely his prime (i.e. not the 50 year old he was today) is getting pretty delusional. There are limits to what technique can help you with.
To bad that Ronda faded away. Can you see the hype for a fight against Mayweighter? They could talk about how he is like 3-0 against woman in MMA style fights.:)
I'd love to see Rousey against Rossi.
The complicating factor for cardio in boxing is that the other fighter is hitting you in the ribs. McGregor got tired because the few punches Mayweather connected with many of the punches he threw in the early rounds.
There would be no kicking or punching. McGregor would just rush Mayweather and tackle him to the ground immediately. He would have him in an armbar within 30 seconds and the fight would be over. Bjj against a smaller, weaker opponent with 0 grappling experience is a non-starter.

Sure but the 10x3 of highly anaerobic activity with 1 min rest is also very tiring. And getting better endurance is hard. There is a reason why we are not all 3:46/13:00 5k runners on this board.:)
Krav Maga was invented in the 1930s.. how old are you again?
I think many of you underestimate what Mayweather could do in an MMA match against McGregor. If you watched the boxing match, you probably saw how much quicker Mayweather was than his much younger opponent. With a few extra moves, Mayweather would make McGregor look silly, just like he did boxing. Mayweather is an extremely disciplined fighter. That's how one goes undefeated.

It wouldn't be close - Mayweather would win easily. Hear me out.
1. "No Holds Barred" is used to mean anything goes - ie no rules
2. Mayweather is an American
3. McGregor is an Irishman
4. Guns are legal and common in the USA, but illegal and exceedingly rare in Ireland
5. Mayweather has almost certainly used a gun before, and is therefore almost certainly better at it than McGregor
6. Mayweather, being an American, is more likely to think of using a weapon to win a no-limits, no rules fight. (Americans believe in winning)
Thus, Mayweather wins easily because McGregor just stands there with a dumb look on his face when Mayweather draws on him.

has a bunch of boxer/mma fights through the years. Obviously you can argue how seriously any of them take the fights and how close they are to their peak, but in general the boxers don't do well.
Mayweather would slow down a ton in a MMA match. He has like 25 years of boxing comfort level that let him move quickly in the ring. In a MMA fight he would end up thinking about stuff (i.e. can that guy kick me. Can he grab me) that would slow him down.
All that being said, in a lot of ways McGregor picked a great opponent for his boxing match. Through him in against a guy that actually hits hard and he doesn't last 9 rounds.

Exactly. We're talking about professional athletes in different sports requiring skill. Neither would stand a chance in the other's arena. No, I'm not doubting that boxers are tough and have street fighting experience. A seasoned street fighter would stand no chance against a professional grappler, and grappling is far and away the most critical skill in MMA.
This whole fight was a successful money making enterprise but I'm shocked anyone thought CM had a chance. I think the better analogy would be a 29-year-old Olympic triathlete racing a 10k on the track against a fit 40-year-old former world champion at 10k. The triathlete's time might be respectable but wouldn't cut it. The runner would likewise have no chance in the triathlon.
I'm also in the camp that would take Gladwell over LeBron in a mile race, and Gladwell is in his 50s and was never a professional runner. Anything 800 or shorter, probably a different story.

You'd think the white dreams would die after Mayweather beat him easily.
Give it to Mayweather for letting the fight go into the tenth round.
Now, McGregor should start at the beginning in boxing and work his way up and see if he can be a legitimate contender for a boxing title.
See below. Letting the white guy hang on by a thread for extra rounds is a lucrative strategy for black fighters. Entices more weak opponents to try their hand, and lose. McGregor, Canelo, Maidana all examples.
http://remezcla.com/features/sports/mcgregor-mayweather-fight-mexican/?rfbthe son of the judges
lost to oscar , maidana and cotto
would not fight pacquiao until past his prime
and that was more or less a draw and borefest .
this whole thing was scripted by mcgregor
would be my guess , never intented to win even if could
and mayweather never to lose as his record
i imagine is more important to him than money
so they concocted this whole thing.
would be very disappointed being mcgregor fan
being played and spenting all that money to go to vegas.
think he is a mayweather fanboy and didnt even want to
hit him to hard again even if could or even connect.
wanted to have on his record as fighting that fraud
by an even bigger fraud in himself .
absolutely despise him for playing all his fans
true fighters let that do the talking
like have you heard when a russian speaks he means it.
I would not pay to see that wrote:
man I hope you meant holds and not holes
i'm not attracted to either of these bums but if I imagine two other dudes...
it's hot as hell.

Mayweather would eat a front kick to the face in the first seconds
You have to be clueless and/or slow as molasses to get front kicked in the face. It can happen, but not likely that quickly. More likely catch him napping later on.
Just clinch (boxer can't stop that) takedown and pound or submit would take a few seconds.
It's a dumb question, you must be very bored. What happened ,chaturbate banned you? Of course Mcgregor.
