Again, I'm not accusing one of cheating. Really, I'm trying to understand, what sometimes appears paradoxical if not confusing. For instance look at her next amazing feat, which she considers much tougher than the arctic race, in fact, she considers it her toughest race to date: the John O’Groats to Lands End.
In the 2008 JOGLE, Mimi 'only' covered 840 mies in 12.7 days, covering 66 miles a day for a time span of less than two weeks. She was ~46 yrs old at the time. Look what she said it did to her: "Towards the end my body was swollen up to above my waist, my feet were 2.5 sizes larger than they had been at the start and the tops of my hands looked as though they had tennis balls under the skin."
I emphasized 'only' because that is the confusing part. She was 8 yrs younger, and covered 66 miles/day for less than two weeks, and it really knackered her. She now is going 55+ miles a day for weeks-on-end.
C'mon guys, this is amazing, no?
