Why is it unfortunate? Many reasons. #1 I'd say is most people do not reach their true potential due to economic reasons. #2 would be that the sport I like has the least paid pro athletes. Compare the runners to MLB or the NFL.

Why are you here? Do you not find running entertaining? Are you so much of a hobby jogger that you resent people making money off their sport?
