Best case scenario: Get away quickly.
Second best scenario: Strike and Get away
ther than like 9th grade and below fights. I've only been in two as an adult in my early 20s. Once I was jumped and attempted to be robbed walking to the bus one night. Only took one hit and a torn jacket but got away otherwise unscathed just a bruised cheek money in tact.
The other I was at a diveg sports bar some rando playing pool tried to fight me as I was watching a the TV over the pool table. He kept heckling me and I told him I dont know know him and i was jus watching the game. He was convinced he knew me and he was so upset I ignored him that I heard him rushing behind me as I was leaving I quickly turned and hit him with a beer bottle (It didn't break like the movies) and turned the jets on for about 45 seconds into a crowd at night to safety.
Point is both times I had no idea if they had a knife or gun and didn't want to risk it. My objective was to survive whether from a defense and evade or a quick strike and evade.
I've seen my dog do this in the woods on a run. We accidentally got between a waking bear and its cub. It growled and fake charged my dog sprinted nipped it and the bear chased it till fatigue. I got away clean and my dog did too. It knew a bear was bigger but he was faster.
