Like another poster said, not all beaches are created equal. I would absolutely love to see the Cook Islands for instance, but for the most part, most beaches are completely forgettable at best. Even more interesting is the people who choose to live at the beach. I would absolutely die of boredom after a week or two.
Mountains for life, fool.
Much of sissys on here. Like someone said, not ALL beaches are created equally. Most of you must have gone to some man made beaches. This is why I love the beach....
"The sound of the ocean is music to my ears, the force of the waves hitting the sand brings a rhythm that makes my soul move. I appreciate the simple beauty of life. When I walk along the beach my feet touch the soft, sunken, grainy sand and leaves a temporary imprint of ever softly impact. The wind blows and I immediately get a brief smell of the sea as the light salty drops hit my face and mouth. I am one with the beach." 👣ðŸ–- signed and copied right by the OP...💅ðŸ¼
my type of beach
I love the beach. But then again I don't whine about things like sand getting on me.
I hate sand.

This sums it all up pretty accurately.
Topless beaches in south of France are nice. Usually rocky, not a lot of sand. Need a few towels to make it comfortable, but good scenery, if you get my drift.
I love the beach because I actually like to swim in the waves and swim underwater. I'll hang out on the sand for a bit in-between things, but not all day. And my goal is to not get a tan.
I like going to the beach, but I have to be doing something there, like swimming in the ocean or playing sports in the sand (which is awesome cause you can dive for things without hurting yourself). But I agree that just sitting there in the hot sun doing nothing is pretty shitty.
sounds like a lot of people here have sand in their vaginas

I know it seems universally loved, but I really don't enjoy going to the beach. Hot weather, sand getting everywhere, sweat, etc. I burn easily so I'm sure that's part of it, but being in the beach all day is so damn uncomfortable.
Anyone else?
Cleary you don't live near the beach and see it only as tourist when visiting.
A beach run can be spectacular at low tide on packed sand. Many beaches with few or no people available in the world.
Beaches are a launching point for water activities, boogie boarding , surfing , kayaking , swimming open water.
Most local beach people do not go in the heat of the day. Ever seen a sunset on the beach?
Enjoy your backyard BBQ, Ill be at the beach.
10/10. Where is this
US beaches in the open sun are not my cup of tea.
However, sitting under a palapa with a margarita in hand on the beach in San Agustinillo, Oaxaca (Mexico) is very much my cup of tea.
people of color.
This thread was made for me.
I live in a city where almost all the good quality running/biking trails pass through beaches (the trails hug the coast and almost all the coast is public beach/park). I also live near what happens to be the busiest, most popular city beach.
In the winter (PNW), my situation is pretty good. The trails and beaches are absolutely deserted, nice view, lots of nice grassy fields to do strides/drills/core on. But in the summer... ack. I could get over the noise/harassment, cooking/cigarette smoke/pot smells and whatever but it's the meandering on the multi-use path that kills me. The path is impassable at certain times of day unless you are willing to scream at people or body check them (I am, but it's tiresome if you're trying to do a workout). Throw in some dbag bros tossing a football across the path, a few moron dog owners and I'm losing it. And I can't escape it because I live across the road from it.
This makes me resent the beach... or at least, many of the people who frequent the beach. I hope for cold and rainy days when I have workouts scheduled.
was in my teens in so cal, nothing is like getting up 5 am with the low tide and a 10 to 12 ft south swell from a storm in Mexico, heading to the beach to body surf with our fins, parking a block or two away and feeling the ground shake from the crashing surf. Running a couple miles in the sand to warm up, then diving into the waves and accelerating down the faces at 0-30 mph in 3s. Goosebumps even now. Life's a beach.
The beach is just the sand you walk through to go out in the water and surf. Rather than sitting in the sand complaining, learn to surf and go enjoy yourself. If the beach you frequent doesn't have waves, bummer and I'd stop going and probably move.
There are Two kinds of people. Those that take vacations near the water/beach and those that like to sight see/ hike. The latter of these two are crazy people in my eyes. You couldn't pay me to take a vacation to go hike some trail or see some monument
I live about 10 min from the beach and I don't really like it. Running on the beach is hit or miss depending on the tide but sometimes it's pretty good a nice change.
But I agree the sand and mess is annoying. The only reason I go mostly is because my g/f likes to go. Luckily she gets bored there after an hour and doesn't want to spend all day there.
The fat fuggs that drag all their crap and sit out there all day under an umbrella,
no thanks.
