This is a rare - an athlete transferring INTO the Ivy League.
Haley Barthel from Tufts is now at Brown, where she's listed as a freshman.

In fact they got 2! Katherine Trainor from Amherst (D3)
Yeah I would have taken her too. Brown maybe less costly? Good get.
New Mexico got not just Kurgat and Prouse, but a few other transfers too.
Ian Crowe-Wright, Michael Wilson, and Tessa McCormick - University of Birmingham (UK)
Linton Taylor - University of Leeds (UK)
Kaitlin Franklin - Kennesaw State

Maybe only Illinois people and Wolverine fans will find this relevant. I heard a rumor that Jack Aho, the former 2A state champ from Grayslake, has left Michigan and is transferring to North Central. Cannot confirm, but hopefully someone can.

I can confirm. Will be announced Wednesday at press conference. When asked for comment, one of Jack's former teammates at Grayslake Central said "Jack graduated while reading at a 3rd grade level, should fit in fine at NCC"
Looks like bub Jack Aho was fast on the track but slow in the classroom. I looked up the records to his home course and he doesn't even hold the record, belongs to some bub named 'Filip Pajak'. Can you say 'overrated'?

After running at the Michigan Open it seems unlikely that one would then announce the next week that they planned to transfer.
http://www.mgoblue.com/documents/2017/9/1//20170901_xc_michigan_open.pdfSteven kapes is taking his talents from ashland college to walsh university. The training at walsh will be much more conducive to long term development. Best training group in ohio all divisions. 3 straight blue chip recruiting classes. Its going to be fun to watch.
he, and a few others, did not like coach Herbster.
Florida A&M picked up Nancy Murgor from Young Harris (D2) and Festus Kemboi from Florida Southern (D2). Florida A&M with 12/15 of their XC roster being Kenyans
