This is a sensational performance and I don't know if he had a pacer, but to break 1:51 as a 15 year old with no one to chase or draft off in the 2nd lap, if not also the first, and to do it as evenly as he did, is incredible and shows that he can run faster this year with 1:48-49 runners in the field. Why he was in a heat with none of those runners I don't understand. His maturity suggests less improvement, but his training leaves him with plenty of room for improvement. His time is only a bit better than last year. I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop a lot of time even from senior year of hs to freshman year of college when he gets into a higher type of training with top flight training partners.
