Lilian is a huge talent. Sub 9 3000m gold for world youth in 2013. The next year she lost the same race against Mary Cain (when she was at her prime) and finished second I believe. She ran in the senior women's race at world cross this year even though she was still 19 and ended up finishing 3rd with the loaded Kenyan Squad (finished behind sub 30min 19k runner Alice Aprot). Her 15:30 previous PB was ran at altitude so she was bound to run faster at Eugene, though I'd still consider it a breakthrough performance.
With Chespol and Rengeruk, the younger Kenyan runners definitely show some promising talent for years to come.
