it's a possibility
it's a possibility
including clock error, his last 100 looked
~ 13.0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4bu6afEOUs
that included lotta looking around & just one possible serious speed burst mid-late in the stretch & cruise to finish
flat-out, he looked like he couda gone 12-mid/high in that last 100, in a 7'28 in rubbish 5'03 at 2k
flat-out from gun today, i think he couda gone ~ 7'22/7'23
& i still think this is over-distance for him as i still reckon he ran this possible 7'22/7'23 off primary 1500 training & you can't expect to run fastest possible 3k if training for 1500
we need canova here, his coach
he said the kid had speed
it all depends upon what canova reckons his open 400 speed is
i'd reckon 47.0 - 48.0
with 7'22/7'23 :
48.00 / 7'23.00 ->
1'43.61
3'27.22
12'53.40
48.00 / 7'22.00 ->
1'43.52
3'26.90
12'51.31
47.00 / 7'23.00 ->
1'42.30 !
3'25.93 !!
12'56.57
47.00 / 7'22.00 ->
1'42.21 !!
3'25.61 !!!
12'54.48
all these are underestimate for 800/1500 as not possible to run 3k best off 1500 training
canova need only answer 1 question :
what 400 shape is your boy in ?
Wait so this mans runs 10 seconds off the WR, and sprints the end like crazy...
Can he break the WR?

El Keniano,
I agree with you but it's also true.
I also think he'll smoke Mohammed Farah.
I want to see Faraah's face after being smoked by Kwemoi.
Kwemoi can smoke Asbel right now. Asbel is a joker.............at times.
How he lost the Olympics Rio is just sad. I hope that thing haunts him every day at 2:30 a.m. every other night.
He ran under 7:29 (7:28.73) in a race that was evenly paced, but just a little slow, and closed in 55, which is fast but not so fast that you'd think he had something close to 7:22-23 in him. You continually overestimate 3k abilities. He is surely able to run in the mid to high 12:40s and 3:27-28, given this race (worth maybe 7:27 at best) and his 1500m pr of 3:28.81, set three years ago.
Definitely a threat to Farah. Asbel would like him to go 5.
Why can't the Kenyans coordinate a rotating pacer attack on Farah during a Diamond League 3000 or 5000? (aside from the fact that Farah typically doesn't run the Diamond League outside of watered-down meets on British soil)
Seriously, though. The top 6 guys in the Doha 1500 were Kenyan, and Kwemoi, a 7th Kenyan, just owned the 3000. I say, have 4 guys rotating the pacing duties, leaving 3 guys to draft and destroy him.
Or maybe, just maybe, a few of the useless non-East-African also-rans can decide to pace a fast race, knowing they'll die, but in the process will help free the world of the cancerous charade that is Farah's winning.
What about the cancerous charade of doped-up East Africans? Is that okay?

This year is the last opportunity to beat Farah on the track. Someone needs to step up and get it done. At least when he moves to the roads, Farah won't stand a chance against the likes of Kipchoge. With his luck, though, all of the good marathoners will retire before he reaches his marathon prime, leaving a watered down field, just like he has enjoyed on the track since 2011.
Did you get banned again?

Farah is East-African. So it looks like you, too, think he is doped up.

I haven't seen anywhere stating that Farah will contest the 5k this summer. I think, like Bolt, he is targeting just the one event.
I came on here to see if anyone was talking about Kwemoi. His 7:28.73 in Doha was insane!!! Don't forget this was in 90 degree weather and I think it was humid as well? Pretty crazy.

Mohammed Farah will either DNS or DNF if Ronald Kwemoi lines up for the 5K, I guarantee you that. He only enters races he's sure of winning and is an expert at excuses when he doesn't.

Are you looking at the race video or splits, he spent the last lap stalking old Kejelcha and the other guy and only pounced the last 100 meters or so. Merely going at the bell instead would have been worth 2 seconds for a 53. And if you can finish a 3000 that fast, you can get another second out of it somewhere. The "even pace" was too slow for him.
Kejelcha is turning 20. Old?
no
as pointed out it was too hot at 90+ & humid, worth at least coupla secs at "ideal" of ~ 70F & low humidity
that gets him to 7'26+
then the pacing was rubbish with Ronnie thru in 5'03 when komen was paced thru in 4'53 & geb once had 4'55 pacing
then, he did nothing until last lap & primarily in last 100 when he ran 13-flat !!!, looking around twice & easing off at the finish
that is 52-flat pace for his "easy" last 100
in 70F/low humidity & fast fast pace from gun where he woud have nothing left but a ~ 59-flat last lap & last 100 in 14-high, that wouda been
~ 7'22 / 7'23
& he is doing this of likely primary 1500 training !!!
7'20 is a good wr but 7'25 is nonsense time for these guys
at their peak & perfect race, Ronnie/Caleb/kjelecha are capable of 7'22/7'23 & chelimo probably about 7'23/7'24
no
the heat/humidity already get him to 7'26+ & that's before consideration of rubbish slow pacing to 2k & his brutal but easy 13-flat finish
