Pretty amazing field to start off the DL season. For those of you have dreamed, "What could Mo Farah or Haile G run for 800?" this may be give you your best estimate.

Genzebe is a pure miler. Farah and Haile were pure 5/10K guys like her sister Tiru. There is no comparison at all.
If you are going to compare her to a male, El Guerrouj is a much better comparison. The only thing I'm surprised at is that it took her so long to run 800. Ethiopians traditionally are 10K centric, but Genzebe has more speed and more muscle mass in her legs, particularly her lower legs. She was groomed into that thinking, but as is obvious, she holds many of the same WRs as El G, and will not likely ever do well at 10K, it's too strenuous for her body type. Likewise Tiru could never get close to the times Genze has run in the mile races.
Coincidentally El G has become a bit of an advisor to Genzebe after she almost had to dump her coach. El G's team is ready to help her if Aden is not cleared (but it looks like he has already been cleared)
I would like to see her run a 400. She could probably get under 50.
As for this race she will have the genetic male pulling her. I'm very curious what the times will be.

This is a great post until you mention her 400m.
No no no there is no way she runs 49. To do so with her 1500m ability suggest she can run 1:50 for the 800m. It's not happening.

It will finally settle the debate of what's more effective for the 800, testosterone or EPO...
Can't wait to watch.
Except none of them take EPO, you lying maggot.

I don't quite understand what you're saying. Has any 49 girl ever run 1:50? That's not possible for a woman. If she's sprinting in a 400 race she's not going to be able to hold her common mile pace for another lap. I say that she would have to do some sprint training to break 50. She may not think it's worth the time to just be a top ten 400 girl.
But if she is serious about winning at 800 then I expect she will do some 400s at some point. Her times in this race will be telling.
The reason I said 50, if you look at Genzebe's hip flexors they look like sprinter hips. I've seen her work out and do sprint blasts, she has great natural sprint rhythm and power.
Yeah, you're totally right. Those viles filled with EPO plus both used and unused syringes found in her coach's (Jama Aden) hotel room in Spain during his arrest were most assuredly not used on any of his athletes like Dibaba, Souleiman or Makhloufi.

Those viles didn't have EPO and didn't belong to him, shthead, that's why he was never charged. Also, Genzebe has been isotope tested more than any athlete in history since that BS sting. You lose, dumbahss
I hope a doped-to-the-gills Dibaba destroys Semenya and Wambui. I swear, I'll make a wall-sized poster of the podium if that happens.
GO DIDOPER!!!
I hope you get arrested for your pedophilia and child porn soon
Why don't you ban these slander troll accounts? These lying morons are completely useless to these discussions. They have no brains at all and everyone despises them.
It'll be interesting to see how long it takes for Dibaba's positive tests to come back when they retest. It could be as soon as next year but may take 6-8 years.

There'd be no-one left.

Calm down. Everything will be okay.
I'm genuinely rooting for "3:50 Dibaba" to show up. I hope her blood is lava-like and her ferritin is off the charts.
They already came back, dumbahss. Do you understand what isotope testing is? Of course you don't, you're a reetard

You don't run a 1:50 800 by running your best 400m (50s) followed by a 60 second lap. That doesn't make any sense? You run a 54 then a 56 or similar. A distance runner who can run 50s flat can do that easily if they have good endurance.
A person with 49 400m speed and 3:50 1500m endurance can run 1:50 for the 800m.
Such a woman has never existed.
Dibaba is more like a 53 girl with a 1:55 800m. She runs 14:15 for 5k. There is no way she can break 50 for the quarter.
It's the same two morons using different names over and over again.

Dibaba is going to look so pretty running in this mixed race against the dudes.

Relax. We get it. You're supporting Dibaba, especially since she has never tested positive.
Consider that a lot of us once rooted for Marion Jones, Lance Armstrong, Tyson Gay, lord knows how many others who have tested positive after we supported them. Most tested positive years after technology had caught up to them.
History has taught us that we all have good reason to be skeptical of outrageous times, the Dibabas and Ayana included. I myself am a huge fan of Ethiopian runners.
Testing negative in this day and age means that they are clean... as of now.
