As you may know, the only honest relay split is first relay leg. Based on my experiences, racing 200m or 400m on relays, besides first leg of relay one is given a turbo performance boost racing 2nd, 3rd or anchor. F.A.T. sprint times are honest performances.
Disagree. As long as you add 0.7 secs to the split on legs 2,3 or 4, then you get a good idea of what someone is capable of in an open 400m. 800m guys tend to run 400 relays at peak of season rather than running an open 400.
