Straw men everywhere. There are few places where you would actually only spend 1-2 min. Your 1-2 = 7-8 probably in reality. There are few places where it would take *15min* to find a parking spot and/or another 15 to walk there.

This exact scenario has caused confrontations at a Starbucks near my office. People park along the curb in a strip mall and ingress/egress is f-ed up but hey, their flashers are ON so everyone just stand down!

Police in most cases wont be interested b/c its private property (ex. a strip mall) but if its a public road, they will respond.

I drive around in a white van. Whenever I need to park right by the door, I have a couple FedEx stickers I slap on the side. I've NEVER had a problem!

In parking in front of the food shop were you blocking a ramp for the handicapped or were you in front of a fire hydrant? There is usually a good reason why you can't park in certain places.

Since you are wondering, I'll tell you that the the appeal for me is living in the suburbs and not in an urban cesspool, which is the only place where public transportation is available. Also, how do you go skiing, trail running, hiking, camping, climbing, surfing, etc? Uber? No likely.

Boomers are a worthless generation that has done nothing but destroy this country and continually take credit for things they did not do. But a closer look at these claims reveals their lies. As a starting point, please take note that it is widely agreed that Boomers were born 1946-1964. This means that the oldest members of this generation turned 30 in 1976 and, thus, they have been running the show in the US since the mid to late 1970s.

The major civil rights leaders for black equal rights in the 60s (Martin Luther King, Jr., Medger Evers, Rosa Parks, Ceaser Chavez, Fred Shuttlesworth, Jon Lewis, Malcom X, and many more) were all born in the 20s to early 40s. But you know who is a boomer? Al Sharpton.

I did this once in Boston and got a $70 ticket while I was a poor student. So I knew it was wrong. Never made that mistake again. Those damn police or meter maids who hand out tickets are the hardest working city employees you'll ever find. It's cool for police, on or off duty, to park wherever they want though.
