I think he found a niche.. can run more of them than marathons so if running for cash it evens out the bad races.. having a bigger sample size

Finally a true sub elite thats down to earth, note ego centric and all so focussed on chasing contracts. He races! Seems like so many of our elites and sub elites just train and blog.

I'm not one to normally question that many performances, but who the hell goes from 1:06 in the half to 1:01 in 1 year and 4 months? That's not normal at all. It's not like this dude was a rare talent. If he had been crushing it in high school, then struggled with injuries in college and then made a comeback I'd be much less skeptical.

Obviously nobody really good is above suspicion, regardless of how outwardly affable they are. But if there were one person in T&F whom you could exonerate from all doping speculation based on personality alone, it'd be Droddy.

The latter. An apparently genuine hippie (or whatever the hell you want to call someone who's lived/presented himself like Droddy) who came out of D3 just seems like a particularly unlikely doping candidate to me. But maybe he lathers himself with androgel before combing out his hair in the morning. Not ruling that out, either.
