But by that time he had expended some energy obviously & he still had to protect his place for points, should make the 3K a more compelling race
I agree ches expended a lot of energy midrace, but if you saw the race he was never in jeopardy of being caught that last lap so that was not a concern.
On a different note, performance of the meet is right now with fred kerley and that is going to be awfully tough to beat. 44.85 is beastly, #4 AT (clement, Johnson, james only 3 ahead of him).
Fred Kerley Texas A & M 44.85. FAST What a great meet so far, a little bit of everything. Now let's see some Men's title points posted & some clear explanation of what needs to happen to win it.
Ramifications will be decides to not race like an idiot.

Re: Ches coming in 2nd: miles are unpredictable, indoor races box up tightly, etc. 2nd is fine from the team POV.

It was right at the beginning of the broadcast before the mile started. Can't rewind on the watchespn cast right now but I'll make a GIF of it when they upload the replay tonight. Especially ironic now given all the effort he had to expend during that race, haha.
they've shown it like 4 times every time ches races

Oregon will need every point they can get if they want to beat Florida. Got a lucky break in that Grant Holloway scored 0 points yesterday (?) but that still means Oregon will need to make up 6 points somewhere (43-37?) assuming Ches wins the 3k.

Oregon guys aren't gonna win. Might not even get 2nd. With Texas A&M at 36, Georgia at 35.5 and Florida at 17.5 (with several high scoring field events and the 4x4 to go), I just don't see it happening. They only have 28. Even if they went 1-2 in the 3k, it still probably wouldn't be enough.
Rogers runs a very smart race, 2:01.09, for the win. That's 4 800m titles in a row for her. Fray fades to 4th in the final 50m, notably with an untied shoe.
200: Rogers and fray at 28
400: fray takes lead, rog in 2, everyone in it 59.9
600: 1:30ish, rog passes on turn m, gapping fray.
800: rog 2:01.09, fray out of gas gets kicked down for 4th by green and collinsworth.
Rogers threw down on the field the last 200, fray seemed to have fallen to the extra work of leading.
200 wild lead by utep frosh Michael s, 25.8
400 52.5
600 pushing, harris, Piazza, korir behind, Harris pulled up next to Piazza and it appeared that piazze spread out arms causing all the hub bub.
800 Piazza out front, kicked after initial pushes, korir digs to reel him through traffic in in last 5m ftw.
Korir clearly best. Harris and others got short end of stick.
Weeks sisters didn't do to well in pole vault 5th and tied for 7th.
dudes last name is PIZZA hahaha DREW PIZZA haaahaaaa due look like a pizza. got cheese on his head haaaaa
And Oregon women about to win the meet...
Some of those women's 200 runners have some seriously jacked thighs and butts.
Hannah cunliffe and arianna Washington are hot!!! Beautiful butts!!!!
