Curious to know a random sample about others relation of 5k PRs and their easy running paces. I'll start:

Easy pace between: 7:49 - 8:50 min/mile
This isn't a random sample. This is called a "convenience sample." The results cannot be generalized or used to make inferences on the population and the data are fairly meaningless due to the sampling method.
"Easy" pace is quite subjective.
A better question is "What percentage of Max Heart rate do
you run at for easy runs, or range?"
When I do my easy days I make a point to stay under 75% max HR,
and even below 70%.
I know runners that are slower than me in races but at the same
time claim their easy pace to be 60 seconds per mile faster than
my easy pace.
17:04 (2016)
7:00-8:00 depending on the day. Average 7:40.
PR was 18:52 about 12 years ago; Easy pace was 7:30/mile or under
I ran 19:24 about 1.5 years ago if you want a "recent" PR; easy pace 8:30-9:00/mile
In conclusion, I'd likely have a faster actual PR if I wasn't obsessed with keeping all my runs under 7:30 pace in college.
15:20 between 6:45 and 7:15
15:44
6:50-7:10
PR: 16:13
Easy pace with a group: 9:00
Easy pace on my own: 7:30

No, was running it with my 10 year old son.
PR - 15:28
I am gonna use this chart from now on! :-)
16:30
7:40-8:20/mi
Fastest 5k in the last couple of years: 16:43
Easy Pace: I don't keep track. I mostly just putt around the trails at whatever feels comfortable.
I'm sure 6:40-7:20 would be fine if I did an actual road route.
16'50
8'-8'40 when fresh.
9'-10' when recovering from a hard workout.
I can't believe most of you are running truly easy.
I like this thread.
PR = 16:15
Easy pace depends on volume for me.
When running 50-70MPW 7:20-740 avg. usually starting out at around 8 minutes.
When running 70-85 MPW 7:35-7:55 avg. usually starting out at around 8:15
18:11 and about 7:30-8:30
Thanks, I hate it.
The last time I was in sub-16 shape, my weekly average was usually 11-12 (rarely as fast as 9:00, sometimes as slow as 15 minutes per mile). Included some but very few easy miles sub-8 pace, but mostly lots of jogging as slow as 15+ pace on slow surfaces (tight singletrack, rough trails, hills, or in backcountry mountains), or dog jogs with GF, or run commutes where I was running slow enough not to sweat. My only fast running at the time was racing into shape once per week.
