greatest front runners (winners, not historical losers like Ron Clarke or Emiel Puttemans)
800m - Johnny Gray - i love Rudisha, even Peter Elliott, but the Zone is Gray and he is not a loser - he was just insane, during his carrer at the Euro circuit I remember him puttin first 400m in 46.95, 47.33, 47.65, 47.78... did he ever ran faster second lap?
1500m/mile - Keino & Bayi - can't beat the lunatics
3/5k - Ngugi and Ondieki were pretty tough as a worhy successors to father Rono
10k - lot of losers, great Clarke, Bedford and Tergat including, watch for Salvatore Antibo in '90 shape, Henry Rono and Paul Kipkoech at his best... my favorite loser was Fernando Mamede - he could set crazy WR pace in local races or won big meets as Zurich with big kick...
