Ah...SOOOO close. Fat hurts has no learning disability. You were just wrong and will not admit it. He is saying a very simple and TRUE thing...a felony is ALWAYS a big deal. You were resistant to that and but for a brief time when apparently you were insincere, you still are resistant to that. You are wrong. If they have some humble pie in Shenandoah, you should have at LEAST one piece.
What is a felony to you, Flagpole?
Consider the fact that hundreds of arbitrary state and federal felonies (yes, felonies, not misdemeanors) get broken everyday. Charges are dropped or just not even pursued, and records get expunged. Felonies are a big deal when it's actually a serious crime committed and being brought against you in court. And last I checked, Trump isn't being tried for any felonies regarding breaking campaign finance law. He hasn't even been proved in a court of law to have committed such a felony. You're a man of Justice and Truth right? Seems like you're celebrating a bit early in my opinion.
And what is "a big deal." I could easily list a dozen bullsh!t laws state or even federal felony offenses that are completely harmless. Does "a big deal" mean the hassle of hiring a lawyer and cutting a deal with a judge or does it mean "you're doing hard time in prison?"

So, if he can be indicted for these (Cohen crimes) if he weren't president, why is he not impeached for these very crimes since he is president?
Impeachment, as you know, is a political process, and that is up to Congress. Very likely they don't think that's enough to get the Senate to convict, or they are waiting for more stuff (I mean, they WOULD like to see the Mueller Report unredacted) so they have a stronger case. I think impeaching an elected president is a bigger deal than indicting someone who is not President.
It was a big enough deal to send Cohen to jail for three years.

Seriously
Because Republicans put party over country. Seriously.
The Democrats gained control of impeachment in January.
I guess you're saying since Senate Republicans won't convict, House Democrats won't impeach.

This discussion has nothing to do with civil disobedience, which typically involves misdemeanors.
This whole discussion started because Racket thinks that Tiny's felonies are no big deal.
If a poor migrant family crosses the border illegally, that's a misdemeanor. But Trumpers think they should be treated like animals. It's even OK to steal their children.
But if the president commits a felony, it's no big deal.
Tiny has warped your brains. He has destroyed your sense of humanity and decency.
Perhaps a review of felony vs. misdemeanor will help to get your moral bearings back. The law makes those distinctions for good reason.

Correct. That's exactly what I'm saying.

Yeah. We need an alternative minimum tax for corporations.

Correct. That's exactly what I'm saying.
So, if an entire party is complicit with a president's crimes, then a president can commit any crimes and the opposing party should let it go even if they have the power to impeach?
If he did a crime that he otherwise would serve time for, the House should impeach.
Leave it to the senate to fail justice.
1) Trump WILL be indicted for those felonies unless he receives a pardon or the crime or aliens thing.
2) Being charged with a felony, being convicted of a felony...having to deal with a felony at all is a big deal. This seems an odd hill for you to try to take (you won't). Yes, lawyers, court, possible prison time and/or parole time during which you can not vote or own a gun or do perhaps a lot of other things depending on the crime. Then when you are out, you are labeled a "convicted felon", something that stays on your record forever unless you have a reason to get it expunged. In most states, employers can only go back 7 years to look at your criminal record, but holy crap, that 7 years plus any time you spent in prison plus any time between indictment and prison...that can put a HUGE dent in your ability to earn a living. Not sure who told you a felony was not a big deal, but it is.
Definition of Felony - a crime, regarded as more serious than a misdemeanor, and usually punishable by imprisonment for more than one year or by death.
Sounds like a big deal to me...because it IS a big deal ALWAYS.
"Hello sir, I'd like to apply for the xyz job you have listed. Well, I was in prison for 4 years during that time. Yes...a felony conviction." [click]
No one is obligated to hire a convicted felon or trust one or date one or befriend one. Can have a HUGE negative effect on your life.
Now, you either get that or you don't. I'm not about to spell the horribleness of a felony to you any more.

It's a big deal...though to be clear, not all of that 3 years was for the campaign finance violation.

CORRECT!
And for the record, comparing the need for Civil Rights to Trump lying (and criminally paying them off) that he was boning a porn star and a Playboy naked lady is bogus beyond belief.

I see no problem with hiring someone convicted of a felon once he/she has served his/her debt to society. Seems you have different views.

OK, that's got to be the dumbest question on this entire thread - from Trumpers OR anti-Trumpers.
Impeachment is a political process. Indictments are a judicial process.

I agree with you on this. If we ever get to see that freakin' Mueller Report, I still believe the House will vote to impeach him likely on more than one thing but perhaps on Obstruction of Justice evidence alone. If the Republican-controlled Senate wants to acquit and feel the political pressure of so doing, then let it do that.
